On April 18th @ 2 PM EST, the Bridge Alliance Education Fund will host its second ever Consultant Learning Session -- this time with CoCreative Consulting's Russ Gaskin. CoCreative believes strongly in the power of collaboration, and Russ' presentation will discuss how to foster collaboration among seemingly disparate stakeholders. Russ' description of the webinar is below:
A World of Both: Using Polarity Thinking to Build Transpartisan Empathy & Understanding
Based on the ground-breaking work of Dr. Barry Johnson, Polarity Thinking offers a practical and powerful way to help liberals and conservatives leverage the hidden harmony, interdependence, and beauty in their seemingly opposing values. During this webinar, we'll demonstrate the basic values-fears dynamic, positive and negative stereotyping, and vicious and virtuous cycles, and introduce simple and effective ways to quickly reframe polarized conversations. We'll also share brief stories about how this approach has been used to build empathy and understanding in politically diverse groups, from 60 senior Congressional staff during the 2012 budget negotiations (the negotiations that worked :) to Tea Party members and community organizers working together on homelessness in northern California.
If you would like to join this session, please RSVP below by April 11th. Please note that the Zoom link for this session is located below, but we're still asking members to please RSVP so we know how many attendees to expect at the session.
